递归方法似乎是正确的。像这样:

void growTree(Node * root) {
    for(int i=0; i<4; i++) {
        if(root->child[i] == NULL) root->child[i] = makeNode(0,0,root->level+1);
        else growTree(root->child[i]);
    }
}

我还建议重新设计makeNode。像这样:

Node *makeNode(double x, double y, Node * node) {
    int level = node->level;
    // copy old body of makeNode here
}

此外,请更改为此:

typedef struct Node {
  int level;
  double xy[2];
  struct Node *child[4];
} Node;

没有理由为结构节点和节点使用不同的名称。如果要隐藏结构节点的定义,请使用以下方法:
