is it possible to give shadow to pop up that is called outside the Android app?

I want to achieve this > Audio Call Recorder App

Best I have reached is this (I want to give this popup a shadow) > My app

I am using activity_lead_add.xml to put basic content of the style. The border in that popup is given by putting a custom shape as the background in linearlayout of activity_lead_add.xml

But it seems I cant give a shadow to the shape.. or can I? I am guessing I cant use elevation=4dp unless its a cardview?
