I have had to remove some attribute relationships from a 2016 Multidimensional cube. But this has been a breaking change for pivot tables constructed against the pre-fix version of the cube in Excel 2010. These appear to remember the old relationships. When dragging and dropping attribute hierarchies from one axis to another the user is confronted with this message...
The [my_dim].[my_attr_hier].[leaf_level].[removed_attr_reln] dimension attribute was not found.
Re-constructing the report from scratch fixes the issue. But is there a process that can be applied to existing workbooks and their pivot caches to fix this with less donkey work?
