如果这是数据库中的持久属性，那么您应该定义迁移以添加列。

如果它只是用户模型中的临时字段，那么您只需在class User中添加app/models/user.rb的访问者。

class User < ActiveRecord::Base
  attr_accessor :votes_cast
end
