How do I stop Visual Studio 2017 from forgetting Search Folder definitions?

I created a few search folders in VS2017 so I could narrow down results whenever I needed to. These have worked fairly consistently but for some reason the selected folders are sometimes forgotten.

This happens randomly and I can go weeks or hours between the problem reoccurring. Is there any known cause to this or could there be something I am doing outside of removing the selected folders from the Search Folders?
