在提交之前让Atom等待

我是Github的新手，遇到以下问题。当我尝试提交文件时（我正在使用Atom编辑器），命令行显示以下消息：

hint: Waiting for your editor to close the file... Aborting commit due to empty commit message.

我已经用以下命令git config --global core.editor配置了atom -wait 但是什么都没有改变。任何帮助都将受到欢迎
