如您所见，该数字不可见。

不建议使用mysql_query。

使用mysqli_query。试试：

$con=mysqli_connect("localhost","my_user","my_password","my_db");
$sql="SELECT count(user_id) AS total FROM account_users";
$result=mysqli_query($con,$sql);
// Associative array
$row=mysqli_fetch_assoc($result);
echo "Rows found :" . $row['total'];
