看起来你正在使用Perl系统。那么为什么不使用模块的预打包版本呢？

$ sudo apt-get install libmime-lite-perl

我发现了这个问题。在安装任何新的PERL模块之前，Linux必须安装MAKE。我的debian 9安装很新，没有安装make命令。我跑了

apt-get install make

再次是perl模块

perl -MCPAN -e 'install Net::SMTPS'

并且有效！
