I'm trying to set up an environment to develop a Java EE app using a MariaDB database, PrimeFaces, Spring (with MVC) and Hibernate. I've been trying to start it for a few days with no luck: each time I try to load my index.xhtml, Tomcat loops on a exception, as-in, the exception loops back indefinitely in the server log until I stop the server. However, the server starts fine when my index is a JSP... Here's my pom.xml:

Here's the exception Tomcat is showing:

[...and it goes on.]
My index is a simple hello world but here it is, just in case...
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets"
xmlns:p="http://primefaces.org/ui">
<h:head>
</h:head>
<h:body>
<h1>Hello World PrimeFaces</h1>
<h:form>
<p:editor value="This is PrimeFace editor" />
</h:form>
</h:body>
</html>
Finally, here is my IndexServlet:
package net.myproject.servlet;
import javax.servlet.ServletException;
import javax.servlet.annotation.WebServlet;
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet;
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
import java.io.IOException;
@WebServlet(name = "Index", urlPatterns = {"/"})
public class IndexServlet extends HttpServlet{
protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp) throws ServletException, IOException {
req.getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/WEB-INF/views/").forward(req, resp);
}
}
Here's my AppConfig.java:
package net.myproject.config;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Bean;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.ComponentScan;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.ComponentScans;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Configuration;
import org.springframework.orm.jpa.JpaTransactionManager;
import org.springframework.orm.jpa.LocalEntityManagerFactoryBean;
import org.springframework.transaction.annotation.EnableTransactionManagement;
@Configuration
@EnableTransactionManagement
@ComponentScans(value = {@ComponentScan("net.myproject.dao"),
@ComponentScan("net.myproject.service")})
public class AppConfig {
@Bean
public LocalEntityManagerFactoryBean getEntityManagerFactoryBean() {
LocalEntityManagerFactoryBean factoryBean = new LocalEntityManagerFactoryBean();
factoryBean.setPersistenceUnitName("LOCAL_PERSISTENCE");
return factoryBean;
}
@Bean
public JpaTransactionManager getTransactionJpaManager() {
JpaTransactionManager transactionManager = new JpaTransactionManager();
transactionManager.setEntityManagerFactory(getEntityManagerFactoryBean().getObject());
return transactionManager;
}
}
I don't if it's my code that has a problem or if it's my IDE (IDEA IntelliJ) that's not properly configured.
I'd really love some help for this, cheers!
