Django SECRET_KEY在os.environ中调用，但不是环境变量

Question

我被要求查看开发人员失踪的Django项目。我无法弄清楚他们是如何设置SECRET_KEY的。在settings.py我们有SECRET_KEY = os.environ['SECRET_KEY']

它在Ubuntu 14.04.05服务器上运行。我理解上面的代码意味着已将SECRET_KEY设置为环境设置，因此在终端中我键入printenv以查看环境设置，SECRET_KEY不存在。

如何设置？
