checkinstall应用似乎未配置为在cygwin上运行。它针对几个特定的Linux发行版系列进行了配置，并具有通用的源代码发布。
我已经下载并解压缩了checkinstall-1.6.2.tar.gz文件;它扩展到checkinstall-1.6.2目录。在那里你找到了checkinstall shell脚本。我没有时间浏览几千行shell代码。它似乎要求您构建并安装installwatch程序，我想这将注册一个文件更改处理程序，以便识别所有新的和更改的文件和目录。我怀疑处理程序需要更改才能在cygwin中正常工作。您可能已成功发布到Cygwin mailing lists之一。
