xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto">
<item
android:id="@+id/nav_search"
android:icon="@drawable/ic_search"
android:title="@string/search"

Am main activity is as follow.
public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity implements NavigationView.OnNavigationItemSelectedListener {
Fragment currFragment;
boolean isLoggedPrev, isLoggedCurrent;

return true;
}
public void showFragment(Fragment fragment) {
if (currFragment != null && fragment.getClass().equals(currFragment.getClass()))
return;
currFragment = fragment;
FragmentManager fragmentManager = this.getSupportFragmentManager();
if (fragmentManager == null)
return;
FragmentTransaction ft = fragmentManager.beginTransaction();
if (ft == null)
return;
ft.replace(R.id.content_frame, fragment).commitAllowingStateLoss();
}
I would love when I click the search button it loads the activity for search, which is currently being used by navigation drawer
.

FYI
android:id="@+id/nav_search"
is MenuItem
not part of NavigationItem
remove it from your onNavigationItemSelected()
and add in to onOptionsItemSelected()
Try this
@Override
public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) {
int id = item.getItemId();
if(id == R.id.nav_search) {
i = new Intent(this, SearchActivity.class);
startActivity(i);
return true;
}
return super.onOptionsItemSelected(item);
}
答案 1 :(得分:0)
Its the MenuItem not NavigationItem.
@Override
public boolean onOptionsItemSelected(MenuItem item) {
if (item.getItemId() == R.id.nav_search) {
// do your stuff here
}
return super.onOptionsItemSelected(item);
}
@Override
public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) {
getMenuInflater().inflate(R.menu.yourMenu,menu);
return super.onCreateOptionsMenu(menu);
}
