问题在于我错过了必要的c ++编译器。它似乎没有包含在Ubuntu最小安装中，这是有道理的，但错误似乎非常不透明。正在运行sudo apt install build-essential g++似乎解决了这个问题。

我不确定是否有必要，但我还需要将alias sudo='sudo env PATH=$PATH'添加到我的.bashrc文件中，以便我可以使用sudo运行npm。该解决方案来自this link。
