代码中有三个问题

1)chf1$from_datechf1$to_date获取整个列,因此没有按照' id'

进行分组的效果

2)difftime给出的输出长度与初始列长度相同。

3)由于difftime取得了' from_date'的每个元素之间的差异。使用' to_date'的相应元素,不需要by = id

因此,代码可以是

chf1[, diff1:=difftime(from_date, to_date, units = "days")]
