尝试为您的按钮提供如下ID：

<input type="submit" class="button" name="download" value="download" id="download" />

同样给你的div一个id：

<div class="notice notice-warning is-dismissible" id="download-div">

然后我们可以使用基本的jQuery onClick函数并像这样更改's innerhtml：

    $("#download").click(
         function () {
             $('#download-div').html("Please wait...");
         }            
     );
 });
