Stopped Nginx still allows root index.html access

Question

I'm brand new to Nginx. But after running

print(array2D[][0]) ...causes error  
print(array2D[,0]) ...causes error  
print(array2D[[0]]) ...causes error

and got

sudo /etc/init.d/nginx stop

I can still browser index.html from outside ip.

How can I really/completely stop Nginx server? Thanks a lot!
