图像无法在IE8中渲染

我们在IE11，Chrome和Firefox中都有以下css正常运行。但是在IE8中图像无法正常渲染。

display: inline-block;
vertical-align: middle;
height: 46px;
width: 144px;
font-size: 0;
color: transparent;
background: transparent url("../test.png") no-repeat 0 1px;
background-size: 144px 46px;
color: #fff;

任何帮助都将不胜感激。

IE8中不支持background-size属性。支持此属性从IE9开始。
