I was having the same error in my app. The solution which worked for me was simple. Just use this theme in your activity label

android:theme="@style/Theme.AppCompat.NoActionBar"

Don't use any other theme. It will surely work.

正如我们在对OP的评论中所讨论的那样。如果您的目标是Android 4.3及更高版本，则无需使用Support v7。支持包旨在向API级别提供向后兼容性，这些API级别不支持较新API级别的内容。例如ActionBar，Fragments等。但是由于包含了API 13，Fragments和ActionBar，所以只有下面的API级别才需要支持v7。

至于你遇到的崩溃，这是在早期版本的Xamarin.Android中修复的，所以如果你没有使用任何新版本，这可能是问题所在。最新稳定应该没问题。
