检查范围的条件不正确,应该是:

  if(date.after(startDate) &&  date.before(endDate)){
      // valid date
  }

如果日期小于startDate或者大于endDate,那么您之前的条件将返回true,这与您想要的相反。

在您的方法isThisDateWithinRange()中,您要检查的是两个日期之间的日期,使用从未更改的变量dateToValidate(对于每个方法调用,它具有值“2012-09-13”)。您应该更改方法签名并传递要检查的参数日期在范围内。它应该是这样的:
