事实证明，由于相互依赖性，less-rails-bootstrap版本3.0.1 gem正在以错误的顺序加载twitter / bootstrap。我们从未注意到这是在开发中，因为默认情况下Rails不会在开发环境中压缩资产。所以那些特定的文件没有被加载，但它们并没有像我们在测试中一样加载我们的所有javascript。

升级到less-rails-bootstrap 3.0.3，或者在application.js中以正确的顺序要求twitter / bootstrap的各个组件解决了这个问题。
