表CSS无法使用外部样式表

我为我正在开发的网站创建了一个Wordpress页面，我将我的CSS添加到custom.css文档中。我试图在div中使用表格样式。但是css在custom.css外部样式表中没有显示出来。如果我将样式直接放在内容区域内，它可以正常工作（我只是这样做，看看问题出在哪里）。
