Android JavaMail检测服务器是否脱机

我目前正在开发一个带有后台服务的电子邮件应用程序,该服务与JavaMail Idle功能结合使用。后台服务通过每29分钟发出一次检查(因为正在使用的服务器(Exchange服务器))有时可以在连接30分钟后断开连接来保持空闲功能正常工作。

虽然这很有效,但如果Exchange服务器处于脱机状态,则应用程序将继续尝试无限期地重新连接到IMAP文件夹。我注意到凌晨3点和3点之间的数据使用量激增。早上6点(典型的Exchange更新时间)。

为避免增加数据使用量,我希望实现应用程序应尝试重新连接到IMAP文件夹三次的功能,然后向用户显示服务器处于脱机状态并将重试新连接尝试的警告在30分钟内。

如果服务器已启动但未接受连接,则连接将立即失败(有例外)。如果服务器已关闭,并且您已设置连接超时,则超时后连接将失败(有例外)。

为了澄清@ BillShannon的答案,如果服务器主机已启动但Exchange不接受连接,则连接将立即失败并显示ConnectException: connection refused。如果服务器主机已关闭,则超时后连接将失败ConnectException: connect timeout(或可能是SocketTimeoutException),无论是否已设置连接超时,因为平台总是有一个。
