浏览器开发工具不一致 - html属性中的空格

浏览器检查/开发工具在标签中的空白时是不一致的（也可能在其他属性中，我还没有得到验证）。

在Chrome的开发者工具中，会显示属性中的所有空格。 Chrome, element with whitespace

但是在Firefox的Inspector中，空白是浓缩的 Firefox, element with whitespace, not all whitespace visible

如果我双击字符串，则会显示包含所有空格的完整字符串。 element with whitespace, all whitespace visible when double clicked

IE 11与Firefox和Chrome不同：空格会缩小到一个空格，当您双击进行编辑时，它仍然只显示一个空格。

这种行为不应该对所有浏览器都一致吗？是否有设置（在任何浏览器中）来改变行为？
