发布为社区维基，因为这本身不是答案。但是，它是您需要了解的重要信息。您引用的ASP.NET文章已过时。最初，Entity Framework仅使用EDMX提供了Model-First和Database-First方法。实体框架4.1引入了Code-First作为第三种方法，它使用基于类的配置并避开EDMX。它旨在替代 Model-First和Database-First，而前两种方法仅用于兼容性。但是，Code-First名称混淆了很多，导致人们相信它只是Model-First的替代品，而Database-First仍然需要与现有数据库一起工作。这是不正确的;代码优先，尽管其名称可以与新的或现有的数据库一起使用。现在，下一版本的Entity Framework将完全取消对Model-First和Database-First的支持，只留下Code-First。

您构建的任何新应用程序都应该是Code-First，或者您只是在自己的脚下拍摄。如果您需要使用现有数据库，则可以使用EF Power Tools扩展来反向设计Code-First POCO。我还有一个关于将Code-First与现有数据库here一起使用的更详细的指南。
