主机密码更改后无法连接到mysql服务器

我使用phpmyadmin工具在我的测试环境中将主机密码从空白更改为实际密码。我在XAMPP控制面板中重新启动了mysql和apache，现在我收到了以下错误。

我进入了config.inc.php并将密码放在那里

我改变了：

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = ''; <-I put the new password here

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] = 'pma';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass'] = ''; <-I put the new password here

我保存了它，在XAMPP控制面板中重新启动了mysql和apache，我收到同样的错误。我错过了什么？
