无法安装pkg-config

我正在运行ubuntu服务器12.04。我想在虚拟框上编译Monetdb，但是得到错误，我没有安装pkg-config。当我使用sudo apt-get install pkg-config时，我收到错误：

sudo rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*
sudo apt-key --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys KEY
sudo apt-get update
